Starting to take shape!
The metal frame went up, with the use of cranes, a week ago and since scafolding has gone up hiding the entire structure. It's quite a thrill walking by there watching the work in progress. As the present AGORA is only 2oo yards away I am often at the site walking around with my hard hat on!

How many students will constitute the school enrollment? Will students from around the world participate or is this just for students from Fukushima? What grade levels will be taught here?

Our school, with it's present programs and curriculums, caters to local Fukushima residents. This may include children of foreign nationalities in the English immersion kindergarten. Otherwise, all students are Japanese.
Enrollment at the kindergarten will be limited to thirty children (divided into three age groups).
In the language program we expect to maintain a base of 250 students, studying up to 3 times/week.
The grade school program, which is actually an extension of the kindergarten, offers various classes in English (ie. Math, Reading/Writing, Music, French, Spanish, Fun Science, and World Cultures). Students in this program attend classes up to 5 days/week. In this program we plan on maintaining an enrollment of at least 30 students.
In the future, I would be very interested in developing a Japanese language program. Fukushima is an ideal place to study Japanese; not too far from Tokyo but far enough to experience the "true Japan." Mais, une chose à la fois!.
